Chapter 1 of any story is free to read without an account. To keep track of your reading progress across visits, or to access chapters you've rented or bought, you'll need to sign in.

Renting unlocks the chapters that exist right now, in bundles (for example, chapters 2–6 for $3). As new chapters are released, you'd rent again to unlock the new bundle.

Buying full access is a one-time payment that unlocks every chapter that exists today, plus every chapter released in the future for that story — at no extra cost, ever.

No — chapters you've already unlocked through a rental stay unlocked for you. Renting again simply covers newly released chapters beyond what you already have.

No. The full access price is fixed at the time of purchase and covers every chapter that story will ever have, including ones not yet written.
